A new charity calendar from "The Hunting Life"

A new charity calendar from "The Hunting Life" should raise a few heart rates in 2010. The beautiful and scantily clad girls are pictured in various poses related to country sports. The calendar has been created to jointly raise funds for BADA-UK and Lurcher Link.

We are very grateful to "The Hunting Life" for choosing BADA-UK to be a recipient of funds raised from the charity calendar. People involved in country sports are in a high risk category in regard to tick-borne disease and so they are amongst the groups that BADA-UK focuses on in raising awareness. Our thanks go to everyone involved in the creation of the calendar. All funds raised will go towards our continued activities to raise awareness.

"The Hunting Life" on the creation of the calendar

"The Hunting Life Calendar Girls idea started as some light hearted banter on 'The Hunting Life' forum, between members.

As the idea was tossed about the concept grew, and people were pulled into the little web of raising some money in a really fun way for charity.

A very well reputed field sports photographer, Sam Clark of Farlap Photography, kindly gave her time and waived all fees for the cause, and the shoot took place.

We have all learnt a lot as the project has evolved and when we hit brick walls with trying to raise the funds for printing, 'The Hunting Life' members kindly dug deep into their belongings and donated items for an auction of unwanted goods. The response was humbling and the generosity shown, even in these tough economic climates, was second to none. Without them, our calendar would have been in serious trouble.

We comfortably raised the funds needed, and enlisted the help of Bluemoon Print and Promotions, who have fortunately taken on such missions before. We are quite sure they have had much banter upon sifting through our photos!

We do hope our calendars sell well - the hunting community are at an increased risk from tick-related diseases and we are delighted to be able to give a little back to a charity that is helping to look after our well being"
