Fundraising
As a charity we rely on people's generosity in making donations, and also on fundraising events. We do organise our own events as and when we can but this can be difficult. We are all unpaid volunteers, most of whom suffer from the effects of tick-borne disease. Some of us have been left permanently disabled through our illness. Others hold full-time jobs and most of our time is devoted to raising awareness and to helping people. It is therefore extremely difficult to find the time to raise funds. We are therefore immensely grateful for any fundraising events that are held to give our limited funds a much-needed boost.
How you can help
Maybe you are a thrill-seeker and fancy doing something exciting like a parachute jump. Perhaps you are athletic and want to take part in a charity run, or a fundraising football match. Maybe you belong to a golf club and would like to organise a charity match. Perhaps you simply enjoy meeting people and could hold a coffee morning. All of these activities could raise a significant amount of money for BADA-UK.
Below are a few examples of the activities that people have organised to raise funds for BADA-UK:
Bag packing at Morrisons. |
Sponsored charity run. |
|
Body and leg waxing. |
Sponsored sky dive. |

As well as generating funds, your organising a fundraising event will also help to raise awareness. The people who attend the event, or who sponsor it, will become aware of the issue of tick-borne disease. We are happy to help in anyway we can by supplying sponsor forms and information about our charity and its aims.
Please contact us if you would like to consider raising funds for BADA-UK.
