Adam Thomas (pictured left) is 37 and from Lossiemouth in Scotland. He is a Senior Graphic Designer for a print and design company in Elgin. He started running seriously in 2008 and has run the London marathon and the Loch Ness marathon twice. He's also completed four half marathons. Adam will be running the Edinburgh Marathon just two weeks before his wedding to Emma, and he hopes to beat his previous best time of 3:35.

Justin Ridley (pictured right) is 37 and from Elgin in Scotland. He is a joiner by trade, is engaged to Fiona and is father to Jason. Justin only recently started running but has completed the Moray half marathon and Loch Ness marathon. He is also a black belt kickboxer and is training to be an instructor.

Adam and Justin ran the Loch Ness marathon together in September 2009 for Scotland's "Children 1st" charity. Their decision to run the Edinburgh Marathon for BADA-UK came about when they discovered that the husband of a school friend had Lyme disease.

After learning about the work of the charity, they pledged to complete this marathon to raise funds and awareness for BADA-UK.
