British Gas Great Scottish Swim
Unfortunately the swim has been postponed until further notice.
When not working as a slater and plasterer, David Brooks spends his leisure time involved in country sports. It was through these pursuits that David first became aware of the risks associated with ticks. "I was surprised by how harmful they can be", he says, "and it is really important that people know how to protect themselves. I would therefore like to help support the work BADA-UK does in bringing information to the public through their road shows".

David is taking part in this year's British Gas Great Scottish Swim at Strathclyde Loch (the Glasgow venue for the 2014 Commonwealth Games). He will compete alongside some of the world's top swimmers to complete the 1 mile swim, during which he hopes to raise much-needed funds for BADA-UK.
